Oneida/Herkimer BOCES School Library System
Our School Library System supports the CIDER resource-sharing, union catalog initiative with two neighboring School Library Systems to provide access and facilitate resource sharing for over 180 schools in our respective learning and teaching communities.
We also support the use of OPALS open source software in most of our school libraries through the Mohawk Regional Information Center.
Oneida-Herkimer School Library System was one of seven regions that helped to develop “SEARCH” a single login, information database management system that aggregates all subscription databases on one page, provides easy in-library and remote login access to all of them, and consolidates use-statistics reports.
